Taraba State Governor, Agbu Kefas, has approved the implementation of the N70,000 new minimum wage for workers across the state.
The announcement was made by the State Head of Civil Service, Paul Maigida Tino, during the sixth Delegates Conference of the Medical and Health Workers’ Union of Nigeria in Jalingo.
Tino emphasized Governor’s Kefas commitment to improving the welfare of workers to boost productivity in the state civil service.
In addition to the minimum wage implementation, Governor Kefas has also approved the recruitment of health workers.
The recruitment includes doctors, nurses, and public health personnel, as part of his efforts to revitalize the state’s health sector.

The Head of Civil Service commended the leadership of the State chapter of the Medical and Health Workers’ Union of Nigeria for their successful tenure and smooth election process.
He reiterated the state government’s commitment to implementing the new minimum wage once it receives federal approval.
