Handball Federation of Nigeria (HFN) has recorded progressive moves under the leadership of the incumbent board.
The Secretary General of the Federation, Alhaji Haruna Maigidansanma told National Daily that within this one year the federation achieved a lots in moving handball forward in the country.
He enumerated some of the achievement recorded in the year which included the unity in the handball family, the male national team participation in the African Nations Cup in Gabon and restructuring of the national team technical crews to meet with international standard.
Others include, organising the National Under 13&15 Handball competitions in Lagos, rebranding the national handball league to Prudent Energy Handball league and securing sponsors for the league and setting various commission with stakeholders from various part of the country as a members.
The scribe congratulated the members of the board for the success achieved in one year and advised them to sustain the tempo.
Haruna also added that with commitment and concern of the current board in no distant time handball would compete with other team events in the country and at the global levels.
He expressed appreciation to all the handball family in the country for their support and cooperation and urged them to keep up with the tempo as all the success recorded in the year under review was a collective effort.
