England captain Harry Kane scored twice to inspire Bayern Munich to a hard-fought 3–2 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday, extending their lead at the top of the Bundesliga table to nine points.
The Bavarian giants asserted early control at the Allianz Arena, where Aleksandar Pavlović opened the scoring in the 16th minute.
The young midfielder fired a powerful volley from outside the penalty area that slipped past Frankfurt goalkeeper Kaua Santos to give the hosts a deserved lead.
Just four minutes later, Kane doubled Bayern’s advantage, rising highest to head home from close range and cap a dominant first-half display. The goal ensured the German champions went into the break with a comfortable 2–0 cushion.
Kane struck again in the 68th minute, bending a precise low effort from the edge of the area beyond Santos to make it 3–0. The goal marked his 28th in the Bundesliga this season, further underlining his prolific form in Germany.

However, the contest took an unexpected twist when Kane conceded a penalty after fouling Oscar Hojlund inside the box. Jonathan Burkardt converted from the spot in the 77th minute to pull one back for Frankfurt.
The visitors reduced the deficit further in the 86th minute when Arnaud Kalimuendo capitalised on a defensive lapse. An attempted clearance by Bayern defender Kim Min-jae ricocheted kindly, allowing Frankfurt to set up a nervy finish.
Despite the late pressure, Bayern held firm to secure all three points and tighten their grip on the Bundesliga title race. The victory moves them nine points clear of second-placed Borussia Dortmund, who are scheduled to face RB Leipzig later on Saturday.
Before kickoff, Kane was honoured with a special poster commemorating his milestone of 500 career goals for club and country, achieved in last weekend’s win against Werder Bremen — a testament to the striker’s remarkable consistency at the highest level.
