The Hausa Christians Foundation (HACFO) has vowed to hold on to their faith, and never bow to persecution and killings in Nigeria’s North.
In a statement, HAFCO declared that no amount of threats can stop or intimidate Christians.
“Death is our servant because we conquered it already. We actually died since we became Christians.
“That’s why we are alive. You can’t kill a dead person. These killers are more afraid of death than anyone else.
“They thought the way they are hopeless and helpless about their death that’s how we are. Our eternity is secured in Jesus!
“We have been crucified with Christ. The life we live now, we live by faith in the Son of God who died for us.
“For us to live is Christ and to die is a great gain! Satan, you’re a liar. We can’t go back, we’re going forward and further with the Gospel of Christ.”
“We are Hausas and we are Christians”, the statement added.
The group’s reaction followed the murder of a female Christian student Deborah Samuel at the Shehu Shagari College of Education,Sokoto, for blaspheming days ago.
Both Islamic and Christian leaders have condemned the killing

The book of Romans from where these Hausa Christians are echoing these today is a treasure in the Bible. I listen to this great book everyday before I go to bed, and each time it comes, or rather it sounds, like a mighty but still oceans of peace in my soul. Great for you Hausa Christians, because certainly your persecutions under fulani Muslims who will be ruling you in the northern republic, are terrible bunch of human beings, but Jesus is alive and will always provide the Comforter to your souls.
