The Esama of Benin, Gabriel Igbinedion, gifted the Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare II, a seven-month-old tiger on Friday. Igbinedion said the gift was a sign of respect for the monarch.
The palace was full as many, including chiefs, came to witness the presentation of the tiger.
