The Igbogbo-Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA) in Lagos State has inaugurated a new legislative and administrative building.
The modern facility features a 54-seat chamber, offices for council members, the clerk, and departmental heads, as well as 15 toilets and 17 air conditioners.
At the inauguration ceremony, Rep. Babajimi Benson called on the LCDA’s legislative arm to work collaboratively with the executive arm to enact laws that would bring development to the council area.
The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, Mr. Cornelius Ojelabi, praised the LCDA for the achievement, stating that it would enhance governance.

The Chairman of Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA, Mr. Olusesan Daini, expressed pride in completing the building within six months, demonstrating his administration’s commitment to providing a conducive environment for governance and service delivery.
He highlighted other achievements such as constructing primary schools, providing educational materials, strengthening security, and rehabilitating roads.
The Traditional Ruler of Igbogbo-Baiyeku, Oba Abdulsemiu Kasali, and Mr. Kamal Bayewu, Chairman of the Lagos State Local Government Service Commission, also commended the LCDA for the project and its focus on development and financial management.
