Imo State Commissioner of Police, Aboki Danjuma, has deployed officers and personnel to key areas within the Imo State Secretariat to prevent any potential attacks.
This move comes in response to an alleged threat by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) targeting the Secretariat.
According to a statement from the police spokesperson, Henry Okoye, CP Danjuma took proactive steps by visiting both the Federal and State Secretariats to assure civil servants of their safety amidst the recent IPOB threats.
During his visit, CP Danjuma met with employees, emphasizing the police command’s readiness and commitment to their protection.

The statement detailed the deployment of well-equipped operatives and the implementation of enhanced security measures to ensure a safe working environment.
The State Head of Service, Raymond Ucheoma, praised CP Danjuma’s proactive approach, noting that the increased security has boosted worker confidence and allowed them to perform their duties effectively.
