We follow in the footsteps of those who came before us. Oddly, we tend to forget that others will walk in ours too.
Therefore, we need to watch our step, where it leads, and why. It is answers to questions such as these that build a true legacy. In this article, Isaiah Luke Saldivar, public speaker and producer of one of the top Christian podcasts in the world, shares the secret to building a legacy.
Isaiah Luke Saldivar was born in San Jose, California in 1991. Perhaps it was the stars in the sky or those in his eyes that made it clear to everyone that he was destined for a spiritual path.
Around 30 years later, this theologian is today a renowned public speaker, YouTuber, and podcast host. Talking about his journey, Isaiah says, “My path has always been clear to me.
While that goes a lot into building one’s legacy, it does not mean that it’s limited to people like me. After having spoken at over 500 conferences and drawing an average viewership of 4000–6000 on YouTube, I have come to believe that creating one’s legacy is a result of consistency, relevancy, and an ability to break complex ideas down to their basics.
This helps you reach out to more people, and it’s by reaching out and touching lives that you build your legacy.”
Isaiah is the host of a popular Christian podcast, “The Revival Lifestyle Podcast,” where he addresses difficult concepts head-on. He says, “In the podcast, my main goal is to challenge my suppositions and learn to open my mind to the different perspectives that create our world.
This makes my podcast an authentic experience for me. This is perhaps what draws people to listen to it every week. As far as numbers go, we average about a million downloads or views per episode.
For some, it’s a measure of success. For me, what’s more important is that it is resonating with people. It has helped me understand the Christian community better than ever and come close to the problems that we face as a collective and look for answers through open-minded dialogues. To build a legacy, a relationship must be built first.”
Isaiah Luke Saldivar’s commitment to work seems to be the reason behind his legacy, and we all need to take inspiration from it.
