Manchester United have endured some difficult moments going into their 2021/2022 campaign following some undesirable results.

The Old Trafford club were only two weekends ago humiliated by their arch rivals Liverpool following their 5-0 thrashing by the Reds at home.

And sequel to the mixed fortune at the Theatre of Dreams, many have continually questioned the continual stay of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as they appear to be doubts over his capability of returning the Red Devils to the glory days that have gone missing following the retirement of United’s legendary manager, Sir Alex Ferguson in 2012.

Meanwhile, Solskjaer and his team who last recorded EPL victory since September 19 when they won 2-1 away at West Ham were finally able to return to winning ways after they lost three of their last four EPL games as they convincingly thrashed Tottenham Hotspur 3-0 away at White Hart Lane.

Sadly, Manchester United’s result against Tottenham has cost Nuno Espirito Santo his job as manager at the north London club National Daily can confirm.

The defeat was Spurs’ seventh in all competitions so far this season, leaving Spurs on 15 points after ten matches played in the Premier League.

Nuno was appointed in June after Spurs failed to land top targets Antonio Conte, Paulo Fonseca and Julen Lopetegui.

In a brief statement on the club’s website, Managing Director of football Fabio Paratici said: ‘I know how much Nuno and his coaching staff wanted to succeed and I regret that we have had to take this decision

‘Nuno is a true gentleman and will always be welcome here. We should like to thank him and his coaching staff and wish them well for the future.

Nuno built his reputation in England by getting Wolves promoted to the Premier League and he guided them to back-to-back 7th spot finishes in the top flight.

Sadly for Nuno, Spurs were unable to register a single shot on target against Manchester United on Saturday, meaning they’ve gone over 130 minutes without having one after their defeat to West Ham in the previous game.

The question building up the tension at Old Trafford centers on when Solskjaer can be shown the exit door if he fails to return United to their glory days that have long evaded the Red Devils fans.

The former Chelsea manager Antonio Conte who initially tipped to replace Jose Mourinho has however emerged as the front runner to finally replace Nuno at White Hart Lane.
