The Lagos State House of Assembly Muslim Community has expressed its sadness over the death of its Chairman, Senator Bayo Sikiru Oshinowo.
The community stated in a statement signed by the League of Imams of the Assembly Community that until the demise of Senator Oshinowo, he contributed immensely to the growth of the LAHA Muslim Community.
“The four-term Lagos lawmaker was highly instrumental to the building of the new masjid in the Assembly complex, and he contributed financially and physically to the project and used his immense influence to encourage his colleagues to do same.
“May Allah grant him the highest of Al jannah Fridaus. He will be fondly remembered for his Solaat consciousness, liveliness, philanthropy as well as thirst for knowledge and love for Islam. He will be greatly missed,” the statement read.
