Operatives of the Lagos State Ministry of Environment and Water Resources commenced the demolition of structures encroaching on drainage alignments in the Oshodi/Isolo Local Government Area of Lagos State on Wednesday.
The spokesperson for the ministry, Kunle Adeshina, disclosed this in a statement posted on his X page.
According to Adeshina, the demolition comes after the expiration of several contravention notices served to the defaulters.
His caption read, “Operatives of the Drainage Enforcement and Compliance department from MOE&WR on Wednesday commenced the removal of fences on the drainage setback/alignment of the Bucknor/Oke Afa Drainage channel in the Oshodi/Isolo LGA after the expiration of several served contravention notices.”
