Lagos sets to host Africa Digital Heroes Awards

All roads lead to Eko hotels and Suites, Lagos this Saturday October 7 as who is who in the Nigerian digital space converge for the Africa Digital Heroes Awards.

According to organizers of the awards, Digivation Network, the award is designed to celebrate and recognize individuals, organizations, institutions and initiatives that have advanced the Nigerian/African digital space in the past 20 years and a new initiative that is considered iconic in the ICT ecosystem within this period.

It said the award which is organized to celebrate 20 years of ICT broadcasting in Nigeria, cut across the academia, governance, innovation, creative industry, and more.

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo state and Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos are expected to deliver keynote address at the occasion.

Other speakers are: Dr. Bayero Agabi; Engr Gbenga Adebayo; Yele Okeremi and Mr. Austin Okere.

“The goal that we have in sponsoring this program is to encourage people to work together to bring about positive and constructive change in their communities.’

“What have you done as an organization to make a difference in your community? We want you to share what you are doing with others so that all of us can encourage you to continue in your works of community advancement, sustenance, and progress. We all know that if a community suffers and is not supported than all the individuals within that community will also be affected. This is why we all need creative and caring strategies to make our communities better and stronger.

“One of the best ways to do this is to spotlight examples of people already making a difference and then using that spotlight and example to encourage our young people to become more active and involved in social justice progress.
