Prof. Zainab Duke Abiola, a human rights activist, alongside her domestic staffers, beat up her police orderly Teju Moses in Garki, Abuja, on Tuesday, and she has no regret about it.

A statement on Thursday by Force Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi announced that Zainab and one of the accomplices have been arrested while the other is on the run.

Zainab, who is also a lawyer, brutalized the female officer because, the police authorities said, Teju refused to act unprofessionally by fetching and carrying for her.

In a video trending, the brutalized inspector, with a bleeding face, was seen writhing in pains.

Adejobi announced the IGP Usman Adamu has directed the immediate prosecution of the suspects in custody.

According to the spokesman, the preliminary investigation “shows overwhelming evidence of culpability on the part of the professor and her domestic staff”.

“Prof. Zainab name-drops the IGP, his family members, and other officers in the top hierarchy of the Force. She has no acquaintance with the Police in any form as erroneously peddled on social media”, Adejobi said.

The IGP was said to be wondering how a human rights activist could so violate another person’s right.

He ordered the fleeing suspect should be arrested, and police personnel withdrawn from Zainab’s.
