The Lebanese Army announced on Wednesday that it is taking the necessary steps to enforce the ceasefire between Israel and the Iranian-backed Hezbollah militia.
As part of the ceasefire agreement, Lebanese military forces will be stationed along the border to ensure that Hezbollah remains north of the Litani River, in accordance with UN Security Council Resolution 1701.
In a statement posted on X (formerly Twitter), the Lebanese Army emphasized its cooperation with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) to fulfill the mission of maintaining peace and stability in the region.

The army also urged residents of southern Lebanon to exercise patience before attempting to return to their homes, as Israeli troops continue to withdraw from the area.
This process has already led to heavy traffic on roads heading into the region, with an Israeli military spokesman advising civilians to avoid certain areas until the ceasefire conditions are fully implemented.
