The January 2026 edition of the Loveworld International Teen Pastors and Leaders Conference (ITPLC) has been described as a landmark gathering that brought together teen ministry leaders from across the world for in-depth teaching, strategic direction and profound spiritual impartation.

Hosted by the President of LoveWorld Incorporated, Reverend Chris Oyakhilome DSc, DSc, DD, the conference came at a time when intentional leadership and structured mentorship for teenagers are increasingly critical.

The programme reaffirmed LoveWorld’s commitment to equipping teen pastors and leaders to raise a generation firmly grounded in the Word of God, bold in faith and prepared for leadership and global impact.

Purpose and Focus

The January 2026 ITPLC was carefully designed to strengthen teen ministry leadership through clarity of vision, practical ministry tools and purposeful mentorship.

Sessions focused on intentional engagement with teenagers, leadership responsibility and the vital role of the Church in shaping spiritually conscious and purpose-driven young people.

Speakers repeatedly emphasized that effective teen ministry demands deliberate preparation, spiritual depth and consistent leadership, noting that the quality of leadership invested in teenagers today will determine the strength of the Church tomorrow.

Worship and Conference Atmosphere

From the opening choir ministrations to the interactive teaching sessions, the atmosphere throughout the conference was marked by reverence, unity and expectation.

Worship sessions created an enabling environment for learning and spiritual receptivity, setting the tone for impactful teachings and meaningful interactions. The seamless integration of worship, teaching and discussions reflected the excellence that characterises LoveWorld conferences.

One of the major highlights of the conference was the Teenspiration session, which resonated strongly with participants.

Anchored by Pastor Daniel Joseph and supported by passionate teenagers, the session underscored the call for young people to boldly live out and share their faith in schools, communities and nations.

Through interactive engagement and inspired exhortation, the session reinforced the message that teenagers are not merely recipients of ministry but active ambassadors of the gospel.

In a notable initiative, 50,000 copies of the Teenspiration Magazine were distributed to delegates, equipping leaders and teenagers with practical tools to confidently spread the gospel and positively influence their environments.

Leadership and Ministerial Teachings

The conference featured several impactful leadership sessions by seasoned ministers who addressed the practical realities of teen ministry.

Pastor Deola Philips delivered a teaching on structure and intentionality, highlighting the importance of organised systems, leadership accountability and consistent engagement in nurturing teenagers both spiritually and administratively.

Pastor TT Temisan focused on mentorship and effective engagement, stressing the need to understand the teen mindset, build trust and guide young people with wisdom and spiritual sensitivity.

These sessions provided actionable insights for building sustainable and impactful teen ministries.

A defining moment of the January 2026 ITPLC was the ministry by Reverend Chris Oyakhilome. His teachings brought renewed clarity, spiritual depth and focus to the assignment of teen ministry leadership.

One of the key teachings centred on the gift of the Holy Spirit and the limitless possibilities available to believers through Him. Several testimonies were recorded during the ministration, reflecting the transforming power of the Word and the tangible impact of the conference on participants.

Beyond the teachings, the conference showcased the global unity of the LoveWorld vision, with teen pastors and leaders from diverse cultures and nations united by a shared commitment to raising a generation grounded in the Word and bold in faith.

Voices from the Conference

Speaking on the impact of the conference, a teen ministry leader, Isaac Saamo, Teens Church Coordinator, said his motivation for attending ITPLC was a strong desire for growth and preparation.

“What motivated me to attend ITPLC was the hunger to be impacted and to be trained for the glorious work we have for the year,” he said.

Isaac identified Reverend Chris Oyakhilome’s teaching on the gift of the Holy Spirit as the most impactful moment of the conference, noting that it expanded his understanding of what believers can achieve through the Holy Spirit.

Reflecting on the outcome, he revealed that the teachings have led to noticeable changes in his local church, including improved attendance, better structuring and increased participation among members.

He encouraged teen pastors and leaders who could not attend to access the conference materials, describing them as essential tools for effective ministry.
