Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State on Tuesday revealed the signing of two Executive Orders relating to mining and tourism in the state.

The Executive Orders include – Executive Order No 001 of 2023 on the Protection of Mining Communities Against Insecurity and Exploitation; and Executive Order No 002 of 2023 on the Establishment of Ministries (creation of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and adding a Civic Orientation Unit to the Ministry of Information).

The governor in a statement on Wednesday highlighted:
“Yesterday, I signed two executive orders; Executive Order No 001 of 2023 on the Protection of Mining Communities Against Insecurity and Exploitation; and Executive Order No 002 of 2023 on the Establishment of Ministries (creation of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and adding a Civic Orientation Unit to the Ministry of Information).
