“For us at the Matan Food Bank Foundation (MFBF) this is a charge in Nigeria’s fight against systemic food insecurity and a formal call to elected representatives at all levels of government to embrace a new standard of accountability.

“The effectiveness of governance is embedded in how directly impactful it is at the grassroots level.

“At the heart of our strategy is the MFBF Digital Multipurpose Identity Card. This initiative is designed to address food insecurity and streamline the distribution of resources to those who need them most.”

According to the initiator the direct consequence of this strategy is that it enhance connectivity and enables public office holders to better understand their constituents’ needs, it also help to channel grassroots requirements to the appropriate federal and state authorities with precision and transparency.

“Leadership is not a title; it is the act of advocating for the people and attracting sustainable development to the community, via this initiative I am clearly advocating the protection and provision for the vulnerable.

“I am greatly pained by the escalating threats faced by the youth, including harassment, intimidation, hunger, and systemic abuse.

“So, drawing from a personal testimony of divine intervention, the protection of the next generation is a moral imperative.

“This informs our unflinching commitment to ensure that the Nigerian child nutrition is guaranteed, every child deserves access to three square meals daily and this is achievable through the Matan Food Bank.

“A free, accessible education for our wards is non-negotiable so as to break the cycle of poverty.”

The MFBF boss therefore urges all members and stakeholders to actively participate in food processing and distribution activities, while citing a three-pronged approach that can help tackle the food insecurity issue holistically.

Amb. Johnson asserts that robust, community engagement and institutional capacity remain the indisputable cardinals of wealth distribution.
