Mele Kyari, the Group Chief Executive Officer at the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), is currently going through a deeply painful time as he has recently lost his 25-year-old daughter, Fatima.

The cause of her death was not known at the time of filling this report. However, according to reports from the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), it was confirmed that Fatima tragically passed away on Friday. This heartbreaking loss has left her family and friends in a state of grief, as she was not only young but also full of life and promise.

In this time of sorrow, Vice-President Kashim Shettima has extended his condolences to Mele Kyari, empathizing with him over the tragic loss of his beloved daughter. Shettima offered prayers for the peaceful rest of Fatima’s soul, asking for divine comfort for the family members left to mourn her absence. He emphasized the need for strength to help them cope with the difficult reality of losing a daughter who was in the prime of her life and who had so much ahead of her.

National Daily gathered that the Vice-President Shettima took part in the funeral prayer, demonstrating his support and solidarity during this challenging time.

The funeral prayer was held at the Annur Mosque in Abuja and was attended by other mourners who came to pay their respects and honor Fatima’s memory. This tragic event has brought together many to mourn a young life lost too soon, highlighting the profound impact she had on those around her.
