Mikano Motors has entered into a strategic partnership with Autochek Africa aimed at transforming how Nigerians discover, finance, and own brand-new vehicles.

The collaboration, which was formally unveiled at a press conference on Friday, February 27, 2026 at the Mikano Motors Showroom, 65 Adeola Odeku, Victoria Island, Lagos, introduces a fully integrated digital purchasing and financing experience for customers across the country.

Effective immediately, customers can explore the complete Mikano Motors portfolio — including globally recognized brands such as Changan and Maxus — through a dedicated Mikano Motors Virtual Showroom hosted on the Autochek platform.

The digital interface enables prospective buyers to compare models side-by-side, review specifications, and apply for structured automotive loans.

Speaking at the launch, Joelle Haykal, Group Executive Director of Mikano Motors, described the partnership as a natural extension of the company’s long-standing customer-first philosophy.

“Customers can also access flexible payment plans and receive faster credit decisions through Autochek’s embedded financing infrastructure — completing critical stages of the purchase journey remotely without physically visiting a dealership.”

“Our focus has always been on delivering not just new vehicles, but a complete ownership experience,” Haykal said. “That includes up to six years’ warranty or up to 200,000 kilometres, nationwide aftersales support, and the confidence that comes from a 33-year legacy of trust.”

“Our vehicles are built for Nigerian roads — engineered for durability and performance — so our customers always drive with peace of mind. This partnership allows us to combine premium mobility with smart financing solutions, giving customers greater flexibility, confidence, and control over how they own a vehicle.”

For Autochek Africa, the agreement strengthens its collaboration with a major original equipment manufacturer (OEM) while extending its financing ecosystem to Mikano’s established customer base nationwide.

“The demand for vehicles in Nigeria has never been the issue; access to financing has,” said Etop Ikpe, Chief Executive Officer of Autochek Africa.

“By combining Mikano’s premium vehicle portfolio with our embedded financing technology, we are unlocking access to multiple banking partners with fast approvals. This allows more Nigerians to find offers that suit their needs and own brand-new cars with confidence.” he added.

The launch of the Mikano Motors Virtual Showroom signals a broader evolution in Nigeria’s automotive sector, as premium brands integrate traditional showroom standards with digital accessibility. Analysts note that the partnership could set a new benchmark for how vehicles are marketed and financed within Africa’s rapidly expanding digital economy.

By merging established automotive distribution networks with fintech-driven credit solutions, Mikano Motors and Autochek Africa say they are redefining vehicle discovery, financing, and ownership — not only in Nigeria but as a potential model for the wider continent.

Mikano Motors is a division of Mikano International, representing globally recognized automotive brands in Nigeria, including Deepal, Changan, Maxus, and others. The company provides quality vehicles, nationwide aftersales support, and mobility solutions tailored to the Nigerian market.

Autochek Africa is a leading pan-African automotive technology company transforming how vehicles are bought, sold, and financed across the continent.

Through its marketplace and embedded financing platform, the company leverages data, technology, and strategic partnerships to make vehicle ownership more transparent, affordable, and accessible across Africa.

Industry observers say the initiative reflects the accelerating shift toward digitized automotive retail in Nigeria, where consumers increasingly expect to initiate and manage major purchases online.
