Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has taken to his Twitter handle hours ago to make some statements regarding the sale of a N100 million presidential form by the ruling All Progressives Congress.
You would recall that there have been outrages on and offline after the leadership of the ruling party pegged the price of its presidential form for the would-be aspirants at an exorbitant amount of a N100 million.
Many Nigerians are of the opinions that the outrageous price is anti-democracy as it would discourage youths and genuine aspirants from contesting for the office of the president. They also say it will encourage looters of public funds who can afford the price to perpetually remain in government and continue the looting spree in public offices.
But despite the huge price tag, Nigerians have taken aback as aspirants continue to buy the presidential forms of the ruling, making people wondering where they are getting the money. Although some aspirants have claimed that the N100 million form was purchased for them by their circle of friends or by their political support, Nigerians still doubt their statements.
Reacting, Fani-Kayode tweeted, “In APC alone over 40 people have stated their intention to run for the Presidency & most of them have already collected forms of 100 million naira each. Never in our country have so many wanted to run on the same platform. Is anyone still in doubt that APC is the party to beat?”And now a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Femi Fani-Kayode has stirred mixed reactions on Twitter after bragging about the purchase of the form. He made known that over forty aspirants in the ruling party have signified their interest to run for the office of the president, and that most of whom have already picked up their forms, adding that this is unprecedented in the history of the country.
Many people who reacted to the statement made by the APC chieftain, reminding him that he was said that God wanted to use him to be Nigerian next president. Others who are loyal to him said they are still waiting for him to declare for the highest office in the country.
