Mr Ejikeme Romanus, the father of the Anambra student, Ejikeme Mmesoma who was accused by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board(JAMB) of forging her 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination on Monday, has denied claims that the family plans to seek redress in court.

Mr Ejikeme, while speaking to The Nation on Tuesday, disclosed that he has no plans to engage in any legal battle with JAMB over his daughter’s alleged forgery of result but hope for justice to be done.

It would be recalled that the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board had accused his daughter, Mmesoma of forging her result.

In a statement that was published by the examination board, Ejikeme Mmesoma was alleged to have manually inflated her score from 249 to 362 and would be prosecuted for her actions by the board.

In the wake of this, media reports alleged that the family had dragged JAMB to court, demanding N20 billion in damages. However, in a recent chat with The Nation Newspaper, Mr Ejikeme stated that such reports were not true.

He said he wants justice to be done but he is not contemplating engaging the services of lawyers.
