Former deputy governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria and presidential aspirant, Prof. Kingsley Moghalu has commiserated with the Ahmadu Bello family over the death of Hassan Danbaba, the Magajin Dan Garin Sokoto, grandson of former Premier of the Northern Region, Sir Ahmadu Bello.
In a condolence letter on Saturday, Moghalu said he was saddened by the sudden demise and prayed that God grants the Ahmadu Bello family the gratitude to bear the irreparable loss.
“Indeed I was together with Alhaji Danbaba a couple of days ago at the home of a mutual friend in Abuja, and in Oct 2021 announced my entry into the African Democratic Congress (ADC) political party at the Ahmadu Bello Hall of his Stonehedge Hotel in Abuja.

“That venue was a deliberate decision I took as a symbolic gesture of friendship to his family. May the Magajin’s soul Rest in Peace. My sincere condolences to his family, the Sokoto Sultanate, and the Government and people of Sokoto State.
Danbaba died on Saturday afternoon at Danbaba, 51, who held the title of Magajin Garin Sokoto, died on Saturday afternoon at the 44 Army Reference Hospital in Kaduna after a brief illness.
His mother, Aishatu Ahmadu Bello, the second daughter of the late premier of Northern Nigeria, died at the age of 75 in April 2021.
