Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata replied positive when asked whether he would return to Real Madrid in the future.
The 23-year-old is currently back in Spain as La Roja prepare to host Costa Rica in an international friendly on Saturday night.
Morata only joined Chelsea from Real Madrid during the summer, but the 25-year-old recently admitted that he was not entirely happy in London, and would never have left Juventus in the summer of 2016 if it were his choice.
The Spaniard, who has scored eight times in 14 appearances for Chelsea since his arrival, revealed that he only left Real Madrid in order to secure regular first-team football.
“Of course I would return to Real Madrid, but it’s complicated,” Morata told Cadena Ser. “I told the coach I wanted to play more.
“That I wanted to go is foolishness. I felt important for Madrid, but I wanted to play in the Champions League knockout stages. I’ve never said a bad word of Madrid nor will I say it. Always I wish them the best. I’m a fan of Madrid but a Chelsea player.”
Morata scored 20 times in 43 appearances for Real Madrid last season.
