Former Serie A champions Napoli have completed the signing of Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea in a £30 million deal.
The transfer, finalized on Thursday, sees Lukaku reunite with his former Inter Milan manager, Antonio Conte, who will be eager for the striker to make his debut in Saturday’s match against Parma.
Lukaku’s move to Napoli is a key strategic decision by Conte, who previously managed him from 2019 to 2021.
On the same day, Chelsea also saw young English-Nigerian international Tino Anjorin join Empoli on a three-year contract.
Lukaku, who rejoined Chelsea in 2021, was earning £325,000 per week at the club.
