The Idiroko Area 1 Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has launched a crackdown on illicit drug trafficking within its jurisdiction.
The command’s Comptroller, Mr. James Ojo, revealed this in an interview with the press in Ota, Ogun, on Monday.
He warned illicit traders and drug traffickers to cease their activities or face the full force of the law.
Ojo emphasized that the warning was crucial due to the harmful effects of illegal drugs on youth, families, communities, and society at large.
He also noted that such criminal activities posed a significant threat to national security.
