Veteran musician, Babafryo, recently tackled Davido for donated 250 million naira to orphanages. In a video on his Instagram page, the veteran noted that when he was depressed and needed help, some of his colleagues did not attend to him but Davido went ahead to donate 250 million naira to ‘unknown’ orphans.

Read what he said below,

“When I had issues and was depressed, some of my colleagues did not help me, But now, I am seeing that Davido gave out 250million naira to orphanages that we don’t know. We need to change the way we think as Nigerians. I am not against him giving to Orphans.”

Nigerians have reacted to Baba Fryo’s Criticisms in different ways. Read what some of them wrote below,

@tolagee wrote, “Baba let me tell you one truth, they expect your own sets to help not the present generation…. There is caucus everywhere.” (sic)

@ninamilikee wrote, “We say no to iniquity…..giving is a great virtue but truth is many privileged people I know give publicly in order to receive accolades and increase their popularity, they shun giving in private because there is no publicity to be gained by that. I’m not saying that this is d case with Davido because I hear he does more giving in private….I wonder why he and others didn’t respond to you in your time of distress. Well I think in all things good and bad, there are lessons to be learnt. I don’t depend on man but God, therefore any man that helps me is just a vessel for God to reach me. It’s well.” (sic)

@dwelleriyk wrote, “When you are in your prime, who did you help, what life did you touch. na people wey you help go help you when u are down, you get the point now……. nobody owe you any damn! thing…. if you have really helped any of your colleague when you were popular ,call them out okay……… you had a chance but you misused it, those orphans never had any chance, so don’t even compare yourself with them………….and don’t even compare yourself with Davido, he has done a lot for his friends that they will always come through for him anytime anywhere but you, if you have done any favour for anybody in the industry, call the person out lets question him/her y they never came through for you when u were depressed.” (sic)

@nwababy_ wrote, “Abeg come off it… This is just sense of entitlement. It is his money and who he chooses to give is his business. Giving to orphanage homes in Nigeria is commendable; you’re not entitled to anybody’s money.” (sic)

@henroxion wrote, “Entitlement Mentality. Nobody owes you shit.. Take this thing down before it goes viral.” (sic)

@whyneluciano wrote, “With all due respect sir, you are still a young man and no one owes you anything….so this entitlement mentality you have might just drive you back to the depression lane. Get working sir and you won’t need to bother about 200m that doesn’t concern you.”

@akubata_songs wrote, “I hope young artists are watching. Make una blow una money on guuf, women and fast life. Then come and press d necks of innocent people to help kos u noh plan ur life well. Oga, with due respect, no one owe u nothing!!!! If u need help, nicely ask, don’t disturb anyone.” (sic)
