Edo State is currently the third state in Nigeria after Lagos and Ogun with the largest number of Chinese companies. They have grown steadily from a couple of companies to over 10 manufacturing steel, tiles, roof, ceramic, wood and including the largest glass company in West Africa.

After participating in the plenary session at the opening ceremony of the Belt and Road Global Chambers of Commerce and Associations Conference, the Governor had closed door meetings with the Fuzhou business community.

Edo State’s fast growing reputation as the energy and petrochemical hub of Nigeria is a big attraction to potential Chinese investors who find the prospects of cheap gas to be attractive for business.
