Omo-Agege’s former SA, Oris, Congratulates Senate Pres. Akpabio, Abbas

The former Senior Special Assistant on Culture, Tourism and Creativity to the immediate past Deputy Senate President, Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege, Dr. Peter Eromonse Oriaran-Oris, has congratulated the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio and the Speaker, House of Representatives, Hon. Tajudeen Abbas for their victorious emergence as President of the Senate and Speaker of the House of Representatives of the 10th Assembly.

In a statement he personally signed, Mr. Oriaran-Oris also congratulated the Deputy Senate President, Hon. Barau Jibrin and the Deputy Speaker, Hon. Benjamin Kalu.

“Congratulations to the Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Speaker, Tajudeen Abbas, Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin, and Deputy Speaker, Benjamin Kalu, as you begin your journey as presiding officers of the 10th National Assembly.

“As you set forth on your legislative endeavours in the next four years, I ask that you always put the Nigerian people first in all that you do and protect the integrity of the legislative institution.

“Your victory is indeed a testament to your faith, leadership qualities and also the strength of your character, patience and interpersonal relations capacity.

“I look forward to close working relations with you to strengthen the capacity of your aspirations, to move our dear nation forward.

“While looking forward to an early opportunity to meet you and strategize on how we can accelerate the process of delivering on all your campaign promises, please accept my hearty congratulations and the assurances of my highest regard.”

Oriaran-Oris saide has no doubt in the ability of the new leadership to strike the right balance by putting the country and the people first, so that the peace, progress and prosperity that Nigerians want can be achieved.

“I wish you all, Distinguished Senators and Honourable Members, utmost success as you work to serve our nation and its great people,” the statement quoted the former SA as saying.
