Onobun hails Edo APC congress, congratulates re-elected Chairman Tenebe, other executives

Following the peaceful and successful conduct of the Edo State Congress of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Rt. Hon. Marcus I. Onobun (KSC) has extended warm congratulations to the re-elected State Chairman, Emperor Jarret Tenebe, and other newly elected members of the party’s state executive.

In a goodwill message released after the congress, Onobun congratulated Emperor Jarret Tenebe on his re-election as State Chairman, alongside Hon. Sylvester Aigboboh as Deputy State Chairman and Engr. Lawrence Okah as State Party Secretary. He also felicitated with all other state executive members elected during the exercise.

Onobun described the congress as seamless and reflective of internal democracy, unity and shared vision among party faithful across Edo State.

According to him, the orderly conduct of the exercise and the re-election of key leaders demonstrate the strength and cohesion of the party structure in the state.

He particularly praised Tenebe’s leadership, expressing confidence that the chairman and his team would continue to provide steady direction and reposition the party for greater accomplishments.

“The smooth conduct of this congress is a testament to the unity and harmony within our great party. I warmly congratulate the State Chairman, Emperor Jarret Tenebe, Deputy Chairman, Hon. Sylvester Aigboboh, the State Party Secretary, Engr. Lawrence Okah, and all the state executives elected today. This successful congress reflects our collective commitment to progress,” Onobun stated.

The former lawmaker also acknowledged the supportive role of Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, noting that his guidance has contributed to the party’s sustained growth and stability in the state.

Onobun expressed optimism that the newly inaugurated executives would work diligently to advance the APC to what he described as a “zenith of progressiveness,” while consolidating on past achievements.

He urged the party leadership to maintain an open-door policy and foster strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels to ensure continued inclusiveness and cohesion.

According to him, sustained collaboration and unity among members would further strengthen the APC as a platform for meaningful development and good governance in Edo State.
