 Oritsejafor, MFB benefit the poor

The President of the Christian Association of Nigeria CAN, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, in conjunction with Eagle Flight Micro Finance Bank, have given out Six vehicles, 40 tricycles and 100 grinding machines as part of their effort to alleviate the suffering of the poor.

The presentation which was made Oritsejafor made in Warri Delta state is stated to put smiles in the faces of the beneficiaries.

While speaking during the handing over of the Prizes, the CAN president said the growth of the microfinance bank was as a result of the legal framework, organisational and governance structure.

Oritsejafor added that the microfinance bank had become more effective in actualising its vision and mission statement as a result of its managerial skills.

“We appreciate God for ensuring the items were provided for the deserving persons; we will not fail to acknowledge God who has been too good to fail, and that is the reason why we say we are too big to fail.’’

The CAN president further observed that the increase in the productivity level of the poor would always provide an avenue for the administration of the micro-credit programmes.

He said the micro-finance bank had empowered micro-credit groups with N2.5bn while small and medium scale enterprises had been supported to the tune of N10.5bn.

Oritsejafor also stated that corporate bodies had also been assisted with a cash value of N15.5bn, saying that the financial base of the micro-finance bank had risen to over N27bn. And sees it as a little way of giving back to the society. He said the level of poverty in the country is alarming and is the driving force. He also tasks other churches and organisations to follow suite.

The chairman of the Eagle Flight Micro Finance and wife of the founder of Word of Life Bible Church, Pastor [Mrs] Helen said the gesture was in collaboration with the vision of the church and is both spiritual and economical aspect to human existence.

The winners who came through raffle draw express gratitude to the move by the Man of God. Michael Ugboma, who won a Car, said, “We are very happy for the kind gesture of Papa Ayo Oritsejafor to the poor. We ask God to increase his blessings because he is a true man of God. He has touched the lives of many persons and God will bless him.”
