Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen has revealed that he is actively encouraging two of his Super Eagles teammates, Ademola Lookman and Raphael Onyedika, to consider joining the Turkish Super Lig champions during the ongoing January transfer window.
Osimhen, who recently arrived at Galatasaray and has quickly become a key figure at the Istanbul-based club, disclosed that he has held direct conversations with both players, outlining what life at the club and in Turkey would offer them.
“I spoke with [Raphael Onyedika] and [Ademola] Lookman. I explained Galatasaray and Turkey to them in detail, how wonderful a club Galatasaray is, how beautiful a country Turkey is,” Osimhen was quoted as saying by Turkish outlet Habersarikirmizi.
The Nigerian striker said he believes the potential arrivals of Lookman and Onyedika would be mutually beneficial to all parties involved, including the club, the players and the supporters.

“It would be very good for our club, for the players, and for our fans if they came,” he added. “I’m trying to convince both of them. I’d love for them to come to one of the biggest clubs in the world.”
Ademola Lookman is currently on the books of Italian Serie A side Atalanta, where he has established himself as a key attacking player and one of the most consistent performers in the league.
Raphael Onyedika, on the other hand, plays for Belgian champions Club Brugge and has impressed with his midfield displays in both domestic and European competitions.
Osimhen’s comments come amid heightened transfer speculation as clubs across Europe look to strengthen their squads before the January window closes.
While no official bids have been confirmed, the striker’s public endorsement underscores Galatasaray’s ambition to attract top African talent and bolster their squad as they push for continued domestic dominance and continental success.
