Elon Musk, the new owner of Twitter, may start charging a he calls “slight” fee for commercial and government users.
And “casual users’ may still use the platform for free
Musk made this known in a post on his official Twitter handle.
“Twitter will always be free for casual users, but maybe a slight cost for commercial/government users,” Musk said in a tweet on Wednesday.
The Tesla owner and billionaire bout the tech platform for $44 billion last week, making him the new owner of the platform, pending regulatory and shareholder approval.
There are fears Musk’s right-leaning tendencies may bring back an era of disinformation worse than it was on the platform before the buyover.
