Five cardinal sins Secondus committed listed out
After two weeks of court counter orders and power politics, the PDP failed to douse the tension the removal of its national chairman Uche Secondus created.
The battle has since moved from the national level, where Secondus is struggling to defy suspension, down to the ward level, where the party indicts him of punishable sins
The chairman of his Andoni ward, George Christopher, conveyed a meeting days ago, and the outcome was the announcement of Secondus’ expulsion from the party.
The embattled chairman sins are many.

Rivers State PDP Chairman Ambassador Desmond Akawor said the party chairman was ousted because of his refusal to pay his dues in the last four years.
He insisted Secondus jeopardised his party membership, following his refusal to pay dues. “For six months, if you have not paid your dues, your membership of the party is questionable.

Akawor also Secondus worked against the interest of the party in the state by fragmenting his ward 5. He cited how the party national chairman blocked an ex-chairman of the APC defecting to PDP in the same ward.

Secondus also kicked against the decision of the southern governors on zoning the 2023 presidency to their region.
Eyeing a second term at the Wadata House in Abuja, Secondus was prepared to sell out and gift the ticket to the north, he said.
“The position he is occupying is on behalf of the South, he didn’t go there as an Andoni man. He went there because the chairmanship of the party was zoned to the south,” the chairman said.

Although he holds no political office, Secondus again incurred the wrath of his ward members because as national chairman, he didn’t attract any development to the ward.

He lost his membership too for resisting his suspension, according to his ward members. Secondus went to a Kebbi court to obtain a counter order against the one a Rivers high court gave—to suspend him.
