In a sharp critique, Nnam Robinson Ewoh, a key figure in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers State, has accused the current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, of being a “destroyer.”

Ewoh, a former Rivers State lawmaker, voiced his concerns during an interview with Symfoni on Wednesday, claiming that Wike has never won any election through popular support but instead relies on violence and manipulation to secure victories.

Ewoh stated that Wike’s influence has been detrimental to the PDP, contributing to the party’s decline since he became a prominent figure.

According to the PDP chieftain, Wike’s leadership has brought no success to the party, branding him as a negative force within the political landscape.

Highlighting the ongoing tension between Wike and the current Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, Ewoh expressed confidence that Fubara would win a second term in 2027, regardless of Wike’s interference.

“What will determine Governor Fubara’s return in 2027 are Rivers’ votes, not Wike’s vote,” Ewoh stated, dismissing Wike’s significance in future elections.

Ewoh also issued a warning to President Bola Tinubu, urging him to be cautious in his dealings with Wike, suggesting that the minister may eventually turn against him as political dynamics evolve.

Ewoh concluded that Wike’s legacy within the PDP and his influence in Rivers politics has been destructive, urging political observers not to overestimate his power.
