JUVENTUS midfielder Paul Pogba says that he would cherish playing under Pep Guardiola, as the would-be-City manager can take his game to a new level. The French midfielder is a class player and several top European clubs have had registered an interest in signing him, including the likes of Chelsea and Barcelona. Speaking to Sky in Germany, the 22-year-old said: “Guardiola is a coach with a lot of experience, he has a philosophy which is very important and he has a big impact on the team.“People respect him. When you see him you want to play and progress. He is an icon of football and I’ve heard he manages to improve every player he has at his disposal.”“I am a Juventus player now, but for sure when there is a coach like him he will coach you and you will become better.”I think Pogba has delivered a sufficient hint here to the City officials that he would love to play under Guardiola. Let’s see, whether City make any formal move for him in the summer or not.

Meanwhile Jose Mourinho is heavily linked with a return to the Premier League with Manchester United, and he is tipped to replace current manager Louis van Gaal at Old Trafford. There have been all sorts of reports about him being circulated in the media. Spanish press claimed that he had already a pre-contract agreement with United, while UK press (Mail, Mirror & Sun too many to point out) have suggested that several talks have taken place between the club and the Portuguese in recent months. Mourinho, however claims that he is not looking for a new job at the moment, but he admits that there has been offers on the table for him. “My next club? I really do not know, but one thing is certain I love football and I will return with the same passion and ambition I’ve always had,” Mourinho told La Stampa. “Right now I have respect for every coach at every club. I’m not looking for a club, but there are clubs that are looking for me.”There have been suggestions of Mourinho returning to Italy to manage Inter Milan, with whom he won the treble in 2010, as current head coach Roberto Mancini is struggling to deliver the desired results. However Mourinho insisted that he has no plans to return to the San Siro dugout.
