The Nigeria Police on Tuesday confirmed the killing of 21 persons by armed bandits who attacked communities in Kajuru Local Government Area, Kaduna State.
The Kaduna State Police Command narrated that the armed bandits invaded the local communities and started shooting sporadically at villagers on Monday, adding that in the process, the attackers killed 21 persons, injured three others and destroyed houses.
The Police further said that the bandits also rustled about 50 cows.
The State Police Command assured the people that efforts being made to arrest the fleeing bandits, saying that there has been reinforcement of more Police operatives to the area for intensive combing and patrol.
The Police authorities maintained that the reinforcement will forestall further attacks or breakdown of law and order in the area.
