Controversial Nigerian street-hop singer, Portable, has reignited drama with Queen Dammy, one of the wives of the late Alaafin of Oyo, after publicly accusing her of denying their relationship.

The latest outburst comes months after the duo’s messy online fallout in December 2024, which played out across social media platforms and reportedly ended their relationship at the time.

During their earlier dispute, Portable took a swipe at Ibadan, Oyo State — the city Queen Dammy hails from — claiming he “rescued” her from poor living conditions. He boasted that he rented a POP ceiling apartment for her in what he described as a more “civilised” city. His comments triggered backlash from Ibadan indigenes, with reports that he was subsequently barred from performing in the city.

Following the controversy, little was heard from both parties after January 2025, until this week when Portable launched a fresh verbal attack online.

The renewed tension began after Queen Dammy, during a TikTok live session with popular streamer Salo, reportedly stated that Portable no longer existed in her life while expressing openness to finding love again.

Reacting in a video shared on social media, Portable expressed feelings of betrayal, alleging that they had reconciled privately after she begged him and that they mutually agreed to keep their renewed relationship off social media.

Accusing Queen Dammy of dishonesty, the singer claimed she is still living in an apartment he rented for her and insisted they were together shortly before her public denial.

“Imagine Salo asking Queen Dammy about me a few days ago, and she said I didn’t exist,” Portable said in the video. “This was someone I was with the night before she went live. We were together, and I even asked her why she was denying me.”

He further stated that he accepted her back after she allegedly pleaded for reconciliation, adding that she should have publicly clarified matters, especially given the backlash he faced in Ibadan over their previous dispute.

Portable’s comments have since sparked heated reactions online, with social media users divided over the renewed drama. While some criticised the singer for making private matters public again, others questioned the nature of the pair’s relationship and the need for continued public exchanges.

Neither Queen Dammy nor Salo has issued an official response to Portable’s latest claims as of the time of filing this report.
