The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC)on Sunday night suspended the screening of presidential aspirants scheduled for Monday, May 23rd.
APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, in a statement on Sunday night, announced the postponement of screening of the 25 presidential aspirants, saying that a new date for the screening exercise will be announced shortly.
The statement read: “The Screening Exercise for Presidential Aspirants of the All Progressives Congress (APC) earlier scheduled to be held on Monday, May 23rd, 2022, is hereby postponed.
“A new date for the exercise will be announced shortly. Any inconvenience caused is deeply regretted.”
The APC has postponed the date for screening the presidential aspirants for a second time.
Meanwhile, presidential aspirants that have submitted their forms are Vice President Yemi Osibanjo SAN, APC national leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu,; former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi; former Minister of Niger Delta Development, Godswill Akpabio; Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State, former Minister of State for Education, Emeka Nwajiuba; former President of the Senate, Sen. Ken Nnamani; Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River State, Gov. Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State, Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State.
Others include Governor Mohammed Badaru Abubakar of Jigawa State, former Governor Ahmed Yerima of Zamfara State, former Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu; former Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State, and former Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State.
