The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, held a meeting with governors of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Abuja on Wednesday as Asiwaju Bola Tinubu emerged the presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2023 general elections.. The meeting was held at the Legacy House, PDP Presidential Campaign Organization, Abuja.
PDP Governors that participated in the meeting include Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State, Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State, Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State, Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State, Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto State, Governor Ifeanyi Ugwanyi of Enugu State, Governor Duoye Diri of Bayelsa State, Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State and Governor Darius Ishaku of Taraba State, including the PDP National Chairman, Iyorcha Ayu.
The meeting was said to have deliberated on the unity of the party after the national convention in the build up to the 2023 general elections.
