The protest of hardship and rising cost of living which erupted in Minna, Niger State, last Monday, and spread to Kano, Kogi and other parts, have persisted in northern Nigeria.
Despite the order by President Bola Tinubu that 102,000 tons of grains be released from the country’s national reserves, youths in the North, including women, have sustained the protest in northern Nigeria.
The youths display placards protesting: “Nigerians are suffering, Stop hardship now.”
“Leadership is all about improving life of the masses; Tinubu do something now.”
The youths also chanted:”Nigerians are suffering, Stop hardship Now!” “Where are the government, stop hardship now!”
“Where are the governors, you keep silence, stop hardship now.”
“Where is the President, you keep silence, Nigerians are suffering…”
