The Queen’s assassination attempt—reports reveal that the intruder was arrested within half a kilometer of her Majesty and the would-be assassin’s shocked family speak out.

In the days since the Queen’s Christmas was disturbed by an armed intruder, reports regarding how close he got and his alleged intentions have been revealed.

The suspect in question, a 19-year-old man, was arrested for allegedly trying to assassinate the Queen with a crossbow on Christmas day at Windsor Castle. He was later sectioned under the Mental Health Act.

The man in question, who police have not yet named, was arrested shortly after 8.30am on December 25, 2021 after he was spotted on CCTV walking around the gardens after scaling an outer wall.

Terrifyingly, he was a mere 500 meters from the Queen’s private apartments, inside the castle grounds, and was arrested while allegedly armed with a crossbow after scaling a spiked fence with a rope ladder.

A video, which The Sun reports came from the suspect’s personal Snapchat account 24 minutes before his arrest, shows a man wearing a mask claiming that he intends to attempt to kill the Queen.

The man in the video says, “I’m sorry. I’m sorry for what I’ve done and what I will do. I will attempt to assassinate Elizabeth, Queen of the Royal Family.”

“This is revenge for those who have died in the 1919 Jallianwala Bagh massacre,” he added. “It is also revenge for those  who have been killed, humiliated, and discriminated on because of their race.”

Although there has been no statement from Buckingham palace regarding the incident, the Queen is believed to be in good spirits. However, this incident is sure to validate claims that the Queen and senior royals concerned by security changes
