PFA player of the year Riyad Mahrez is ready to quit Leicester City despite the Foxes hoping to tie him to a new and improved contract.

According to Goal.com, the Algerian international is willing to leave the King Power stadium with Europe’s elite seeking his services. Mahrez who was signed from La Havre scored 17 goals and recorded 11 assists as Leicester won the Premier League title.

Mahrez signed a contract extension with Leicester in August 2015 and earns £35,000-a-week – much less than Arsenal-bound team-mate Jamie Vardy who increased his pay packet to £80,000-a-week after agreeing an improved deal in February.

Arsenal, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain are interested in Mahrez while the Gunners are interested in Jamie Vardy. Arsene Wenger’s men have tabled a £120,000-a-week contract offer for Vardy but it is unknown if he has accepted the offer.

Another Leicester player N’Golo Kante, meanwhile, has confirmed that his future will be decided after the Euros following links with PSG and Chelsea.
