A tourist ship evacuating 1,687 foreign nationals out of Sudan arrived the shores of Saudi Arabia on Wednesday. The Saudi foreign ministry, acknowledging the arrival of the ship, disclosed that the evacuated foreign nationals are from 50 countries, noting that this is the largest evacuation from Sudan by Saudi Arabia.
The Foreign Ministry stated that foreign nationals that arrived the coastal city of Jeddah from Port Sudan on Wednesday was “transported by one of the kingdom’s ships, and the kingdom was keen to provide all the basic needs of foreign nationals in preparation for their departure.”
The ministry revealed that the evacuated nationals include 13 Saudi Arabians, and nationals of other countries in the Middle East, Africa, Europe, Asia and the Americas.
It was disclosed that Saudi Arabia has received several contingents of evacuees by air and sea since the war began in Sudan on April 15.
