A Group under the aegis of Plateau South Youth Movement for Good Governance has said the performances of Sen. Nora Daduut as the immediate past Senator of who represented the Southern zone of the State, was unprecedented.

The group said as a female senator she touched the needs of the common man in the community being a mother and a lecture.

“She understands and identifies the immediate and direct needs of the common person living in the community and ensures that she meets them”, Conveners of the group, Comrade Istifanus Jatau and Comrade Felix Emmanuel said while briefing journalists in Jos on Saturday.

They said projects like establishment of ITC center, provision of Tractors for farmers, Sewing machines, Hairdressing kits, various training and empowerment programmes, Motorcycles, Grinding machine and lots more are testaments of performance that should earn her a Ministerial slot in the President Bola Tinubu led government.

According to them: “We are passing a vote of confidence on Sen. Nora Ladi Daduut for bringing massive development to the Plateau South Senatorial District.

“For a sponsored group by politicians who are interested in being appointed for a Ministerial slot to say Sen. Daduut underperformed is a mere joke and should not be taken seriously.

“As a group we describe these allegations as false and baseless as the former Senator invested all her energy and resources in ensuring that her Senatorial district moved forward.

“If one Plateau man succeeds at the National level, it is a collective pride and it is for the good of the entire State”.

They continued: “As a Senator she sponsored a bill to establish the Federal Agriculture Research Center (NAMU), She also called for immediate review of budgetary allocation to the National Veterinary Research institute VOM to boost the vaccine production capacity of the institute.

“She also called for urgent extension of new railway standard gauge from Kaduna to Jos in order to ease the transportation system in the country etc.

“Daduut in her short stay in the National Assembly also facilitated employment of young graduates, construction of several drainages and culverts, as well as facilitated the provision of grants for youths.

“Above all, She worked and delivered her polling unit and ward to President Bola Tinubu.

“If given a federal government appointment, Daduut would bring her wealth of experience from the academic sector and key into the great plans the President has for the country”, the group said.
