A renown human rights group, Socio-Economic Rights And Accountability Project (SERAP), has joined the struggle to free Chioma Egodi who is being detained since September 2023 over review of tomato paste produced and distributed by ERISCO Foods.
SERAP in an advocacy statement declared: @SERAPNigeria “Nigerian authorities must end the judicial harassment of Chioma Egodi over a review of tomato paste on social media and stop using Section 24 of the Cybercrime Act to crackdown on free expression online.
The ECOWAS Court has declared Section 24 unlawful.”
