The group argued that the ECOWAS court has declared illicit Section 24 of the Cybercrime Act being cited in the prosecution of Chioma Okoli.
SERAP in a statement declared:

“The Tinubu administration must immediately drop the bogus charges of cybercrimes against Chioma Okoli over her review of a can of tomato puree on social media.
“The ECOWAS Court has declared unlawful Section 24 of the Cybercrime Act under which she is unlawfully charged.”
