SheFootball Initiative women conference was successful

The SheFootball Iniative have completed a daylong football conference tagged ” Towards a developed women football in Nigeria and the yearning for a positive change” which was held at the SWAN Secretariat in Lagos.

The day’s event was designed to see the Nigerian Girls and members of the women football circuit exchange ideas on how they can develop and also inspire women football players in the country.

The Chairperson of the Nigeria  Women Football League Board,  Madam Aisha Falode reaffirmed her board commitment to resolve and promote women football in the country.

She told National Daily that women football and promoting the girl child through Sports is key to their agenda just as it is to the organisers of the event.

She commended the SheFootball Initiative for bringing such a wonderful programme to the doorstep of many young women footballers and also helping to know how important education can be.

Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi the NFF Vice President who was represented by Dotun Coker, called on the Organisers to keep up the good job and said that the Lagos State Football Association are happy that people like Ayisat Yusuf Aromire has deemed it worthy to give back to football through the SheFootball initiative.

He urged club to constitute structures that will enhance proper monitoring of the activities of these girls and also told the girls to hold their self esteem high in the society.

Ayodele Balogun, the Communication Manager of Redline Leisure and Resort Re-enforced the need not to carry on the wrong notion of overlooking the girl child.

He further explained that Redline had many options to consider but settled with the option of partnering with SheFootball.

For her part,  the founder and convener of SheFootball , Ayisat Yusuf Aromire appreciated the speakers and everyone that made the conference a success. She also promised that the seminar will be bigger and better in 2019.

Furthermore, she added that she is determined to increase women’s participation in football in Nigeria and also set standards in women football education, as well as to provide a platform for more grassroots football activities.
