The former senator representing Kaduna Central Senatorial District, Senator Shehu Sani has taken to his verified Twitter page to react as the Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami supports the payment of $418 million to Ned Nwoko and five others.
Recall that it was reported that President Buhari approve the payment of $418 million to Linas International Ltd, a company belonging to Prince Ned Nwoko, and other consultants over the Paris Club refund as proposed by the Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami.
Further report revealed that the plan by the federal government to commence a phased payment of the $418 million Paris Club refund was later shut down by President Buhari after the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) resisted the move.
However, the outspoken activist, Shehu Sani who tweeted some minutes ago on Twitter ask why would a reasonable and morally sound public officer agreed to the release of $418m Paris refund commission to some persons when some public universities were closed for over 5 months on an issue relating to funding.
In his tweet, the former lawmaker wrote below:
“How can any reasonable and morally sound public officer support the payment of $418m paris refund commission, to some individuals, in a country that has its public universities closed for five months on a matter relating to funding?”
