On July 17, 2025, operatives of the Command Anti-Kidnapping Unit, Surulere, conducted an intelligence-driven operation in the Ebute Meta area of Lagos State, resulting in the arrest of six individuals suspected to be members of a notorious cult group.
The six suspects identified as Raphael Ashim (male, 30), Wasiu Kareem (male, 33), Sadiq Olabisi (male, 40), Olamilekan Oluwatosin (male, 27), Olalekan Olugbodi (male, 54), and Ibrahim Oladimeji (male, 22)—were apprehended in connection with a recent violent cult clash in Ebute Meta and surrounding areas.
Preliminary investigations reveal that the suspects were directly involved in the gruesome murder of one Kamoru, popularly known as “Keeper” (male, 30), during the violent confrontation between rival cult factions.

Efforts are currently underway to track down additional members of the syndicate and recover weapons and other tools used in the attack.
The arrested suspects have been formally charged to court and are presently awaiting trial.
