Stranded travelers have cried out over the deplorable state of the Benin-Warri expressway.
The expressway, which is a major artery linking the South-South and South-East regions of Nigeria, has been in a state of disrepair for many years.
Travelers who spoke to the media said that they have been stranded on the expressway for hours due to the bad condition of the road.
“We have been on this road for over six hours,” said one traveler. “The road is so bad that our vehicles can barely move.”
Another traveler said that she is afraid for her life.

“I am scared that our vehicle will break down on this road,” she said. “We have been driving very slowly because of the potholes.”
The travelers are calling on the government to fix the expressway as soon as possible.
“This road is a death trap,” said one traveler. “The government must fix it before someone is killed.”
The Benin-Warri expressway is a major economic corridor in Nigeria. It is used by travelers, traders, and businesses to transport goods and services.
The bad condition of the road has had a negative impact on the economy. It has also made it difficult for people to travel to and from their destinations.
